Winter Break {Blah}

The soil in Rivera is rich in iron so the ground is of a brick red colour, so pretty.

Hello readers, I'm bah-aaaack! I've had the most wonderful time during the past two weeks. I went to the north of my country, to the frontier between Uruguay and Brazil, Rivera-Santana do Livramento, to visit the place where we spread the ashes of my beloved granny, catch up with relatives and friends, eat delicious food and of course do some shopping ^^

To some it may not seem like a long trip but my butt cheeks think otherwise... ouchy!

Brazilian chocolate store called "Cacau Show", they make really tasty treats ; 9

At the frontier there are street fairs and souvenir booths.

Cerro del Marco, the hill where my granny rests ♥

To get to the top, a stairway was awaiting for us.

At the highest point there's a monument with the name of both countries on each side.

The view from up there is seriously beautiful (Santana do Livramento).

The largest duty free shop in Rivera, sadly I can't purchase there, only foreigners are allowed to.

Like in any colonial city in South America there's a "plaza" and a church. My "abuelos" got married here.

Chocolate treats haul, yummers!

Brazilian drustore haul. That chestnut body oil is divine, I can't stop sniffing myself LOL

Brazilian food haul. Everything was great, except for the instant ramen : /

Another pharmacy haul, just some goodies for my face and an oil for the hair ^^

I didn't actually purchase these while I was in Rivera and I won't bore you with the story behind it, but a huge thank you to my dear friend Coco is in order. I will finally test out the Revlon foundations, yay!

On the way back we travelled during the day so I had to keep my self entertained ; )

Wherever we went we walked so by the time I got back I've already lost 4 kilos, not too bad, no? I was originally going to take photos of the various food we ate but honestly, by the time we sat down to eat we were famished and the last thing on my mind was my camera LOL Even though I wasn't able to purchase at the duty free because only foreigners are allowed to I didn't really regret it. I spotted the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, the infamous Moroccan oil serum and several The Body Shop products but everything was seriously overpriced, like the Moroccan Oil 10ml was USD30, WTFrog?!?! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Talk to you soon!
