Hello dear readers. As you may have noticed I didn't post anything last Friday or yesterday as I usually do. During my past winter break I did some deep thinking. Blogging has become somewhat of a chore for me lately; sometimes I don't even feel like posting at all. I seriously question my will to continue blogging. It takes time to write the texts and take photos... of course some type of posts take longer to be completed than others: reviews, favourites and hauls, anime looks and makeup tutorials are usually more time consuming than "blah" or "tag" posts but because I like offering varied content and not just be a one note blogger, most times I go out of my way to produce fresh and interesting material, sometimes even sacrifying other more important things. I have a full time job, a family, friends, things I want to do and just life itself and I no longer have the necessary time to accomodate this hobby as it is.
If I'm allowed to be 100% honest, having so few readers is also partly the cause of my current discouragement; I've managed to regularly visit the blogs I love and make sure to at least leave a short comment every time, but I haven't always been extended the same courtesy. I did though, came to the conclusion that I still enjoy doing this. I blog for me as some sort of online life/beauty journal, but I don't want to be binded by specific days, set myself deadlines or drown myself into endless photography sessions, so I won't be posting two times a week anymore, I will post whenever I feel like there's something worth sharing that fits into my already busy schedule. I don't really know if that will be sustained over time, I might stop blogging altogether in the near future. I want to keep things as simple as possible so this will problably be one of the few long posts I write in a long time.
Hope you all understand and accept my reasons. I know I'm not alone, I've seen some of my favourite bloggers quit this because at some point it gets kind of stressfull: before I went on vacation I made a list of all the posts I "must" do (like the world was going to end if I didn't, WTFrog!!!) and then realized I was having more fun taking long walks while listening to music than typing an entry. While on my trip to Rivera, I made sure I took photos, not for me or to remember the place but for the blog, that's not cool, that's crazy! That's when I realized this hobby got out of hand and became almost like an obsession.
